TOZAWA, Yamagata Pref. — Cheerful laughter echoed through this snow-covered village into the Tohoku area one early early morning as a small grouping of females sat down seriously to chat over tea.

“I saw A american speaking japanese one other time and believed to my better half, ‘He speaks proficient Japanese despite the fact that he could be a foreigner,’ ” one of several females states. “Then my hubby stated, ‘You are a definite foreigner, too, aren’t you?’ ” This causes another burst of laughter through the females.

The ladies — all foreign brides — kept their domiciles in Southern Korea 13 years back to marry guys in this town, which includes a populace of approximately 6,000.
